scouting

We are going to run with the skateboarding idea! Thus begins the location scouting process. We are going for that city look which is why we are set on shooting the opening in Miami. My Aunt lives there and she has a house that captured the look we are trying to incorporate so immediately I reached out to her and asked if we could film at her house. She said no due to renovations ongoing in her home. This was a huge problem.  From the start, I wanted to make the opening as genuine looking as possible and I knew that using this house was going to help in doing so. We came up with the idea to shoot the opening scene in the room not at my Aunt's house in Miami, but our group members' house in Weston.  We just needed a bedroom.  This was one of the times the team had to adapt to a situation.  It was annoying at first, but it taught the team a lesson:  think on your feet and solve problems without letting the surprises trip your process up. 

The next location we want to film the majority of the skating scenes around populated city areas.
Areas considered are Downtown Miami, Surfside and possibly Wynwood, places interesting and appealing to the eye.
