conventions

Hey blog! so in the last post I told you guys about the project and the general direction we wanted to go. so i this post i want to talk about some plot aspects. while we don't have whole opening put together just yet, we know some aspects we want to introduce. The conflict in the story is character vs. character and character vs. self. The first conflict is because we want to display the main character having a bad time where he lives due to an abusive situation at home. we looking to add some actual arguing or fighting into the opening to create that feeling of a chaotic, broken household. The second conflict is the character vs. self because we plan to incorporate a problem the main character has with himself and how he deals with the problem through skateboarding.

we chose the genre of drama therefore we plan to incorporate some conventions into the opening.  drama movies capture real life scenarios. Dramas mainly focus on the main character. we plan to do just that in our opening. Dramas have dramatic plots in order to effect viewers emotions. dramas tend to be sad. Dramas also normally portray serious, dramatic social interactions. We also plan to incorporate  this into our opening as i stated before with fighting or arguing.

As i stated in the previous post we know the direction my group and I went to go and we are really excited to get going!
