Hey blog! Today my group and I started brain storming for the plot/story of the film opening. we are having some trouble coming up with ideas. The re-occurring problem that we were running into was that the duration of the opening was only two minutes, and all of our ideas were too complicated to fit into a two minute opening.  The two minute maximum for the opening forced us to constantly change the ideas. It challenged us to condense whatever we could by cutting out unnecessary parts from the plot. If it did not help pull the plot of the story along then it wasn't included into the story.

My group and I looked to the film the mid 90s for inspiration. The movie is about how a 13-year-old spends his summer navigating between a troubled home life and a crew of new friends he meets at a skate shop so we have an idea of the direction we went to go toward!

This marks the beginning of my AICE media project.The following posts on this blog will be updates on how the project is coming along. Th project is a 2 minute film opening. I’m honestly excited to start the project the only problem is narrowing the genre down to the most realistic genre possible. As soon as we were assigned the project, I had ideas for what me and my group could do for the film opening. I would like to take on the challenge of creating an action based film opening but this could change at any moment. A genre has not been chosen yet . All I would like to produce is a film opening that people will like and actually enjoy watching. I want to focus on using my surroundings to my advantage to maybe help make the film the most genuine it can be. Stay tuned!
